In Agony! is the Harder Hitting Advice column, with a twist. Each volume includes a selection of letters from readers with problems, to which I dole out my own brand of common-sense advice.
Here's the twist - Sometimes the advice is already out there, you just need to know where to look. So, every response comes with HOMEWORK! This can include anything from a specific song or film, to a book or TV show episode to research, which will relate to the advice.
The column gives me the chance to help people in a real way, or else have a good laugh at their expense. My advice may seem harsh at times. If it seems like I am ridiculing someone's pain, well, I probably am, but it’s more than likely for their own good!
