About Me

So who is TEZ? Well I guess it wouldn’t hurt to share a little. TEZ would be me aka Terry J Smith, aged 24, currently working full-time in the education sector, learning lots of new things, including how to be a grown-up. Life’s been interesting so far. One day It's a crazy ex, social in-fighting, wrong place wrong time situations, or the occasional sociopathic work colleague (all of which my followers will learn about soon enough…) I usually manage to pull through in the end more or less intact but the stories sure make good party conversation!

I’ve often been described as a ‘jack of all trades’ because of my wide variety of interests and skills, hence the alias TEZ of All Trades. I like to think I’m driven and that in the future I will be able to leave my mark on the world, hopefully changing it for the better in one way or another. Whatever I end up doing I want to be able to say 'I did that!' with pride.

I’ve had a number of coals in the fire for a long while now so I decided it was time to put up or shut up! I’m looking to get my voice out there… and to see if anyone's listening.

I've been told that successful blogs are about one focused area but I'm trying to defy that convention. I hate the way we assign labels to each other. In college or even before then, we’re forced to decide on our labels for the future, in terms of career that could be ‘businessman’, ‘scientist’, ‘designer’, ‘chef’, ‘model’ etc., and in doing so we limit ourselves. I believe everyone has the potential to follow more than one path in life and in my case I strive to!

I’ve never been 100% confident about what to do in life (other than becoming a superhero) and the pressure of having to decide that at such a young age may have affected my decisions in the past.  Now though, I’ve decided I want to show the world what I can do first. Maybe in the process some new and unexpected paths may open up for me or perhaps I will find the right one all on my own.
