Marketing Campaign - Blast Radio 2009

In 2009 I received a nomination for a Student Radio Award from the Student Radio Association, for my work as Head of Marketing for the University of West London's student radio station - Blast Radio. Today is the deadline for this year's award entries so I thought the timing would be nice. The nomination was in the Marketing and Branding category. It was a huge project not to mention I had to juggle the final year modules of my degree and a job, so it was full of stress but I loved every moment of it. It was the first real test of my skills, there was so much to be done in such a short time and with so few people, but our planning and hard work was recognised in the end.

The thing I was most proud of was the sheer mass and range of quality material we were able to produce! I think this was one of the things that made us stand out against station's at other University's who run all year round. It was such a great experience both during the campaign and after, with the nomination/awards ceremonies (held at the Indig02!). Below is the entry I complied to send to the SRA. It details our journey, or rather our mission to save people's souls from bad radio. Please take a look and prepare yourself to
'Escape the Void'...
